He married JENNIE LOUISE CRONK BAILEY September 09, 1875 in Trinity church Saint John, NB Canada, By Rev. Nobbs, daughter of WILLIAM BAILEY and MARY WILLIAMS. She was born November 23, 1859 in Saint John, NB Canada, and died October 26, 1950 in Woodstock, NB Canada.

Notes for ROBERT BARTHOLEMEW WELCH:
From the Woodstock Sentinel 20 Janusry 1911 - the death occured on Thursday morning of Robert B Welch after only a few days illness of Pheunomia. Mr Welch was born in Saint John 3 Janyary 1829 and he came Woodstock 50 years ago where he has resided ever since. He is survived by a widow, one son Robert and one daughter Hazel, both at home.
The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon from his late residance on Connell Street. The Rev H G Allder officiating.
Pallbearere were Col F H J Dibblee, W M Connell, CF Dibblee, and WH Evertt.
