He married (1) JOHONNA BRACKETT October 17, 1856 in Bathurst, NB Canada St. Famile RC church, daughter of DANIEL BRACKETT and MARY CONNELL. She was born 1831 in Ristigouche, Bonaventure, Qebec, Canada. He married (2) MARY MCLAUGHLIN Abt. 1858. She was born 1833 in New Brunswick, Canada. I'm not certain that this is the correct Michael McCarthy, but his age is correct, and his daughter Catherine's age is correct, so I am attaching Mary and her children to keep the information!, and died 1919 in Blackville, New Brunswick, Canada.

I have marriage certificate from St. Famile RC church in Bathurst for Michael & Johanna Bracket. The information on Michael and Mary ? is taken from the 1881 New Brunswick, Northumberland Co. ( I don't know why it is under Northumberland? It should be Gloucester, Co.!)census. I'm not certain that this is the correct Michael, but his age is correct, and his daughter Catherine's age is correct. Also in the 1881 census Johanna shows as being in an insane asiliam in Ristigouche, Quebec.
