The McDonald Family of Foresthill, CA

We have recently started searching for our family tree and have been able to trace it as far as 1822. We have Scottish, Greek, English and Indian blood, as far as we can tell so far.

Our roots started from Scottland, England and sailed to United States landing in Oklahoma and drifting to California in the 1950's.
I am researching for the 9 brothers that sailed from Scottland to US. The only brother that made it was Robert William McDonald father of James McDonald whom was married to Maggie Heffner mother of Martin McDonald. Its said that the last name was MacDonald at one time, the "Mac" was changed to "Mc" due to the Irish reputation at the time.

Reunions still take place in Oklahoma City, usually in the summer time around July and August.
