I am currently researching the DODD family primarily. They were originally in South Carolina (at least that's my earliest contact. They migrated to Alabama and then to Texas which is where my family is. The earliest member that I can find a name for is Ashley Hayworth Dodd whose name was in the 1840 census of Alabama. His father is listed as being from North Carolina, but no name. Any help will be appreciated.
