We are researching the family of Benjamin McDaniel born in TN. or possibly KY., depending on which census you believe. Benjamin first appears in the 1880 TX census at the age of 74, but we know nothing further back. He was married to Sophia \?\ (b.1814) and he is believed to have been a preacher. So far we have only been able to connect them to one son, Amos.
Amos had 10 children, Helen, John, Oliver, James, Thomas B., Jessie K., Marion (Frank), George, Jasper D. and Walter. Some of the children remained in TX while others moved to AZ in the late 1800's.
