* McDonald's of GA Decendants of John W. McDonald, Sr.*

I am researching the family history of John W. McDonald, Sr. who was is believed to be born on the Isle of Skye cir 1730. He was mustered in the 77th Montgomerie Highland Regiment as an Ensign at Stirling Castle in 1758. He and his unit were brought to the American colonies to fight in the French and Indian War. John and his family are located in St. Paul's Parish later,Richmond/Wilkes County Georgia in 1772.
John W. McDonald died in 1802 in Columbia County, Georgia.
Other families in my research include, Hamilton, Brown, Granade, Norton, Smith, Draper
I would welcome the opportunity to share information about the McDonald's in Georgia and other locations.
