Hello, I am researching the ancestors and descendants of my 2nd great grand-father Thomas McDaniel. Thomas, was born May 10, 1810 in North Carolina. He died March 25, 1889 in Polk County, Missouri. He married Nancy June, born 1811 and died October 1892. Marriage place and date is unknown at this time. Their burial place is Anderson-McDaniel Cemetery, Polk County, Missouri.

Children born to Thomas and Nancy were, David Jefferson McDaniel, Mary R. McDaniel, William Ensley McDaniel, Sarah Elizabeth McDaniel, Martha Ann McDaniel, Sophronia Jane McDaniel, Thomas B. McDaniel and Louisa McDaniel.

Places of residence for Thomas and Nancy are North Carolina, McMinn County, Tennessee and Polk County, Missouri.

David Jefferson McDaniel moved to Texas and was living in Mills County, Texas when he died. He married Elizabeth (unknown) possibly in Missouri. Their children were, Benny L., David Jefferson, Martin Van Buren, Francis Lee, Nancy J., Rhoda Jasse, Susan Beaulah, Marion Thomas, and Jonathan T. McDaniel.

Places of residence for David and his wife were 1870 Milam County, Texas, 1880 Hamilton County, Texas and 1900 Goldthwaite, Mills County, Texas. David and Elizabeth settled in Mills County, Texas. Some of David's descendants lived in Juction City (Kimble Co.) San Angelo (Tom Green Co.), and Ballinger (Runnels Co.) Texas.

Martin Van Buren McDaniel, born March 20, 1866 in Milam Co., and died February 15, 1934 in San Angelo, Texas. He married Sarah Fox on October 24, 1894 and their last place of residence was San Angelo, Texas. Martin and Sarah McDaniel children are Jesse Thomas, Julia Mae, and Myrtle Lucille McDaniel. Jesse married Edna Johnson, Julia married V. M. Bowen, and Myrtle Lucille McDaniel married Loy Gandy on October 17, 1926 in San Angelo. Loy and Myrtle Gandy's children are Dorothy Gandy Chandler, Loys Marie Gandy Denton and John Gandy.

Marion Thomas McDaniel, was born March 20, 1875 in Milam County, Texas and died January 24, 1960 at Zeb, Cherokee County, Oklahoma. He married Mary Elizabeth Ballard on June 8, 1902 in Goldthwaite, Mills County, Texas. Children of Marion and Mary McDaniel are Ella McDaniel, George Gaston McDaniel, Gertrude McDaniel, Marion Monroe McDaniel, David Dewey McDaniel, and Delmar Floyd McDaniel.

Marion Monroe McDaniel was born December 29, 1910 at Qualls, Cherokee County, Oklahoma and died April 28, 1997. He married Alena Mildred Smith on September 26, 1930 in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Delmar Floyd McDaniel, born July 30, 1916 at Qualls, Cherokee County, Oklahoma and died October 17, 1996 at Romeo, Macomb County, Michigan. He married Fannie C. Lawley. Their children are Barbara McDaniel, Mary McDaniel, Dennis McDaniel and John McDaniel.

A little about myself, I am the son of Marion Monroe McDaniel and Alena Mildred Smith. I married Wanda Lue Mashburn on July 29, 1972 in Lawton, Oklahoma. We have three children and five grandsons.
