I am seeking the parents of William Thomas McDaniel, b. August 1,1820; Newton T. McDaniel, b. January 1823 and Robert Patrick McDaniel, b. December 1825. These brothers and their parents were all born in SC, place UK.
A proponderance of evidence indicates my family may be connected to Lancaster District, SC Daniel McDonald and his wife Rebecca Middleton. Daniel and Rebecca had a son Middleton McDonald,Sr, b. 1746. Middleton,Sr and wife Elizabeth Reeves(Rives)(? about surname)had a son Daniel, born Lancaster June 1, 1760. Daniel married Nancy Lousia Tillman and they had known sons, William Middleton and Thomas. My McDaniel family may be connected to William Middleton or Thomas McDonald. Can you help me?

Remember McDonald=McDaniel in the Scottish fashion and are used interchangeably in records through out the South.

Three McDaniel brothers came to Attala County, MS from SC, place unknown. The place could be York District, SC (YDSC) as the youngest brother Robert Patrick McDaniel, b. December 1825 lived and married in YDSC and came to Attala County in the fall of 1883 with a new wife, Nancy Lucretia (Wyatt) Buriss, a 23 year old childless widow he married in YDSC, near McConnellsville, on January 30, 1880. They had children: Robert Edward, m. Bertha Branch; Marion A., m. Abigal Herrin; Hallie Dee, m. Burrell (Burly) Aldy; Minnie Lee, m. Flex Early and John DeFeriate who m1, a distant cousin,-Jessie Josephine, m2-Myrtle Esther Smith and m3-Alma Phillips in AR.
Robert by m1 to Sarah E. Carroll had children: Emily W.m. William W. Harper; William, m. Eighty L. Coonrod (Conrad), Sarah Ann, m.John Coonrod (brother to Eighty);Nancy Jane,m.Pinkey Tobia Shook; Charles G.,m.UK; James Davis, m1-Margaret Paulettee and m2-Nellie Virgina Mitchell (both marriages in MS); Mary L, m. UK. (all marriages in YDSC except for James Davis as noted.)
The next brother, Newton N.T.McDaniel, b.January 1823 came to Attala Co.,MS in the 1840's, (from where in SC is UK )and abt. 1849 m1 Sarah Jones and had 4 children: Sarah S; Margaret L.; Mildred Jane and Mary Elizabeth (Fronie). Only Margaret (Maggie) married and she m.-Daniel L. McLean, Jr. Newton m2-Susan Dowling and had 5 children: Amanda who married John Walter Neaves, Robert William who married Julia Ballard, Lillian who married Emmett Eugene Ousley, J. Augustus who married Melinda (Linnie) Elizabeth Simpson and Bessie who married Charles D. Brown.
The third, and oldest brother and the writter's g-grandfather, brother, William (Billy) Thomas McDaniel, b. August 1, 1820 in SC, place UK came to Attala County about 1845. In 1847 he m1-Mary Elizabeth Jone and they had 10 children: Nancy Lousia m. James Monroe Skelton; Mary Josephine m. Robert Joseph (Joe) Haxall; John Middleton m Sarah Elizabeth Brown;Zordia Jane m. William H. Mitchell; Oliver Perry, m. Nancy (Nannie)Ann Mitchell; William C. m. Mary (Mollie) Elizabeth Herrin;Newton James m. Emma Stewart;Ellen,died at age 14; James Adam (the writer's grandfather) m. Nancy Lydia (Lidia)McCurlie) Lamb and Minnie Elizabeth m.Walter Reuben Barrett.
Billy m2-Mary Elizabeth Mitchell and they had 4 more children, Cora Lee m. James Elmer Clower; Susan Nora m. John Wesley Hearst, Robert Ulysses M. Eva Lena Clower and Mary Etta m. Thoms Griffin (Grif) Mabry.
