1607: Began 10-year apprenticeship with uncle Williamwho had learned from his older brother Nicholas, Robert's father.Quit and went to Cambridge in 1613.
1617: BA1617: MA1623: Took Holy Orders.1627: Military chaplain to Duke of Buckinghamshire in campaign against French.Granted Dean Priory as reward; took post in 1629.
1647: As a royalist and Anglican, was expelled by Puritans.Lived in London.
1662: Reinstated by Charles II.
1674: Died. Buried in Dean Prior.
