In the name of God-Amen- I Jonothan William Merritt, of the county of Gadsden and State of Florida, being of sound mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of this frail and ???? life, do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament. That is to say - ???? after all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, the residue of any Estate real and person, I give, bequeath and despose of as follows, ??? lst. To my beloved wife, Rhoda Augustine, and to the heirs of her body, I give and bequeath all the land of my home place to wit = the W 1/2 of the SW 1/4 and (2) Two acres in the Southwest side of the N 2 1/4 of SW 1/4 of Section (12) in Township (3) North of Range (2) west in Gadsden County Florida-containing Eighty two (82) acres more or less and one years supply of ???provisions ?? and our horse - mare or mules and one yoke (two sliers?) of oxen and our two horse wagon together with all farming utu????, Household and kitchen(?) furniture now on the place and our Milch(?) cow and calf of her own choice and all the stock, hogs that I now own............ 2nd. To my children, Joseph I., Sallie, lou, Margerit, Emma and John Wyley I give and bequeath the following lands to wit the SE 1/4 of SE 1/4 of section (11) the NW 1/4 of NW 1/4 of section (13) and the NE 1/4 of NE 1/4 and ten (10) acres in the northside of the SE 1/4 of NE 1/4 of section (14) in Township (3) North, of Range (2) west in the county of Gadsden and state of Florida containing one hundred and thirty acres more or less the same divided among the said children share and share alike. 3rd. That after all my lawful debts have been paid and discharged any and all personal property and the proceeds of the sale thru of that is left the residue thus left. I desire to be divided equally among my said wife the heirs of her body and the children afore named share and share alike Likewise I make, constitute and appoint my brother, Joshua W. Merritt of the county of Decatur and State of Georgia to be an executor of this my Last Will and Testament and without bond to transact all (?????) hereunto (?????) without probot???, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
