I am researching my REESE,FRYDENDALL,TURNBULL, YOUNG,BOLIN,COOK, PATTERSON, McDONALD,MacDONALD,McDONNELL, SHORT, McCLUSKEY, McCLOSKEY, KELLY, WEBBER, BRINK, WEBER, WILHELM, BREEN,HARRIS,O'CONNELL, CONNELLY ancestors and related families: KINGSBURY, LYNAM, LEWIS, O'LEARY, MCDEVITT, DRISCOLL.

Currently I am seeking data on my great great grandfather, Osborn Reese. I have little data on him except for the following:
REESE, OSBORNE - was born September 01, 1823 NY. Died December 20, 1876 in Norway, Benton County, IA. He married CATHERINE M FRYDENDALL 1850 NY, daughter of FREDERICK FRYDENDALL and MARY TURNBULL. OSBORN REES may be spelled as Osborne or Osborn; Rees, Reis, Ries, and later, after 1860, as Reese.

I have been told that Osborn Rees may have born in [1] New York; also have been told he was from [2] Germany; and from [3] Holland.

Osborn Reese lived in the Erie Canal area with his parents, when he was in his teens. He and his father may have both worked on the Erie Canal. Believe that Osborn Reese worked on the Erie Canal between 1840-1863. The canal ran not far from Florence NY, and was also close to Rome NY.

In the Methodist Church of Cazenovia, Madison County, N.Y, in the Members listing for 1858, the year of my gr grandfather's birth, is a listing for a John Reese. I believe this was Osborne Reese' son John, my gr grandfather.

Also, I have located on the 1850 IOWA US Census a Reese Family residing in the area of Norway IA. However, I am unable to connect them with Osborn Rees.

I would appreciate any data on a Reese family living in the Norway IA area, 1830 - 1900, and in the Florence, Herkimer, Cezenovia, Rome, Duanesburgh, Schoharie, Albany, Schenectady, and Montgomery NY areas between 1760 - 1865.

Additionally, any data on my other ancestors would be deeply appreciated.
