My search for James Wilbert McDonnell
My search for a stolen identity.
In my great grandfathers words.
"The Nuns shipped me to Canada to work as a slave on a farm."

He was used, abused and denied his identity.
Both the Church and the British government worked to remove his past and hide his identity.
120 years later I feel robbed of my past and am working to fill in the blanks.
120 years later and 20 years of research on my side and it looks to me like someone is still trying to hide the past.

I believe I have now traced him to Yorkshire 1881, but still am hitting a deadend there. The challange continues.
