Hi I'm Mack McDougal. Everyone calls me Grits. My families didn't come over on the Mayflower. None of them were Kings or Queens. None of them were powerful people who changed the world. My family ancestors were everyday people that did their best to make a living in some extraordinary times, much like you and I.
My Father's name was originally McDougald, but degenerated to McDougal over the years. My Mother's name was Ledbetter. As of yet I haven't found any horsethieves or pirates, but there were several who bent the law on occasion.
I have done my very best to make sure all data in this file is accurate. Before I accept any new data, I scrutinize it very closely, but I still make mistakes If I give questionable data, I make mention that it is questionable as a warning to all who have access to it. Please notify me of any needed changes.
I look forward to trading family info with you and will be happy to discuss anything concerning genealogy.
