I am currently researching my Dad's family. Early descendants were from Ireland & England. My biggest problem to date is that EVERY Mr. & Mrs. Henderson who had a baby boy named him "Edward". I'm working backwards from Edward Nicholas Henderson b. 1812 in England (may have lived in Ulster,Ireland too) His parents had died of the plague & he was sent to live with an uncle(s) in New Castle on Thyne, England and became a part of their ship building & shipping business. His parents were Edward Henderson & a Miss Byrd. Edward jumped ship in New Brunswick, worked various jobs there & eventually came to Houlton, ME where he married Catherine Hammond on Sept. 21, 1846. He died in 1871 in a wagon accident in Aroostook Co - probably in the Caribou area. |
