| My Great-Grandfather,Ernest Sylvester McDermott, was born in Osage County, Oklahoma in 1887 to John W. McDermott from Ohio and Eliza (Chissem)McDermott from Ill. Ernest moved to Crawford County Kansas where he met Mary Francis Janes and they were married in 1906. McDermott name was changed to McDermit some time in the late 1920's while Ernest and his family were living in Kansas City Missouri. Other surnames that I am researching are: Coon, Scott, Knipp, and Zuroweste. All families are currently in Missouri. I would appreciate any help that you could give and I would be happy to share any information I have. Thanks |
