I am researching Martin McDonough, McDonagh, who came from the island of Inishbofin off the coast of Galway county in Ireland. I have the census for 1901 and 1911 and the Griffith's valuation records from 1855 to 1920 in case anyone else needs info about people from the Island. He married Katherine O'Malley, Malley, Malie, or O'melia. They lived in Connellsville Pa. My mothers grandfather, was John Haggerty, Hegarty, from Donegal county in Ireland who came to America before the Civil War.They lived in Dawson Pa. for most of their lives. My mother's mother came form Renvyle in County Galway whose name was Haney, Heaney, or Heanue. |
