David Miner, Jr. (son of David Miner and Bethia Miner, ( Billings, Widow)) was born March 09, 1757 in Stonington, Conn., and died 1844 in Steubin County, New York. He married Lydia Irish on December 08, 1784, daughter of Job Irish and Mary Weaver.

Notes for David Miner, Jr.:
David Miner, Jr. was a soldier in the Revolutionary War; he faced death in many battles an drew his pension to his death.
The family, except for his son Amos moved to Campbell, Steuben Co., New York in 1804. He was the owner of a factory manufacturing shoes and fine firearms.
"Early Settlers of Campell, Steuben County, Penn". (A book in "Burton Historical Room, Detroit Library, M.I", Verification). David Miner and his family of 5 sons and one daughter moved to Steuben County in 1804, son Amos stayed East.. David, being a soldier in the Revolutionary War was granted a tract of land in the area.
After his death his widow moved to Norwalk, Ohio to live with her son Jedediah and later to Bronson, Michigan.

David III, married Tabethia Bayaton and had six children: Howland, George, John, Jacob, Lydia, Henry. He continued in the shoemaker trade. He removed to Ithica, NY and later to Auburn, NY where he died in 1837. This biography written by his son George who now lives in Stueben County, NY.
