| This research traces several families from Scotland and England, to Jamestown and then to other Virginia locations, North Carolina and Kentucky. Some family names included are McDaniel, Sherrod, Thornberry, Henson, Dukes, Bass, Newsome, Pace, Spencer, Byrd and Arrington. I would appreciate help tracing the Sherrods. I have John W. Sherrod b.1822 to the present. Then Robert Sherrod b. 1762(NC) and his son James Jolly Sherrod b.1795 in KY. If we can prove the relationship of these 3 men, we will have traced the Sherrods back to the original American Sherrods of the Isle of Wight,VA in 1630. I welcome any corrections and additions. |
