I am attempting to research the McDorman clan that apparently came through Virginia in the late 1700's, possibly through North Carolina into Ohio, then into Missouri in the mid 1800's. Two brothers, James William and Lindsey H. settled in the Blackwell, Texas area in the 1880's. Our bunch moved into Oklahoma in the early 1900's.
I am also looking at my mother's family from her mother's side, Starr out of Tenn. into Arkansas then into the Indian Terr. around 1900. Her grand father was Joseph William Starr whose father was James Starr who settled around Russellville, AR in the mid 1800's.

I would be happy to share any information I currently have with anyone who can provide me any information, even if you can't I'll still be happy to help you any way I can.

Other names I am interested in are: Quattlebaum(Arkansas bunch); Norton(out of Texas into Oklahoma early 1900's); and Downing (Correll County Texas mid to late 1800's).
