James R. Brown, married to Louisa J.C a Cherokee, we think.Her parents may have been Barnett Dawn and Kesiah Dawn. James R. Brown's son William T. Brown married Elizabeth J. Hamby.
Two of William T. Brown's sons, John Elbert and James Fernand married Pittman sisters, Rachel Liffie and Anne Belle.They were the daughters of Daniel Pittman and Margaret McCartt.All of these families were from Morgan County, TN.William T. Brown and his family moved to Bell County, Texas around 1892.
