Isabella Balfour (daughter of Andrew Balfour III and Janet Mackormick) was born 1771 in Edinburgh, Scotland, and died February 22, 1837 in Randolph County, North Carolina. She married John Troy on June 24, 1790 in Salisbury, Rowan County, North Carolina, son of Michael Troy and Rachel Potts.
