I am researching the James Collings family. James was born February 18, 1754 a native of Annapolis, Anne Arundel Co, . Maryland. He married Christian Turner Davis. Later they moved from Maryland to Ohio. James died November 15, 1802, West Union, Adams, Ohio. He was the first to be buried in the Collings Cemetery, near the West Union water tower on Cherry Street, West Union, Adams County, Ohio. James Collings is my brick wall as I have not been able to locate his parents or any siblings.

Our Collings family decided to move, in company with several other families, to Limestone (now Maysville, KY). "When near Manchester, Ohio, a child of the party dying, they stopped to bury it, and James Collings and family choosing to stay north of the river, by accident, became Ohioans." They lived for two years at the Manchester Stockade before moving farther north of the river to what is now West Union, OH.

I am also researching William Hardy born about 1650 in England. Spouse unknown. I have 1 son William born about 1674 in Maryland married an Elizabeth. I have 7 children for them.

Other Families include
The Jacob Popiolek family.
The Christian Dziuk Family
The Jacob Hohn Family
The Andrew Jackson McGlone Family
