Owen came to Canada from Ireland in the early 1840's. His legacy leaves behind over 450 known names. Most resided in Wisconsin. Many are spelled McGeough, but some are spelled McGough. Am seeking out actual dates of Owens' departure from Ireland, arrival in Canada, and ship's manifest. Any information about this intriguing surname would be appreciated. |
