James Kerr (b. June 11, 1770, d. 1853)

James Kerr (son of James Kerr) was born June 11, 1770 in Cumberland Co., PA, and died 1853. He married Betsy Elizabeth Arbuckle, daughter of John Arbuckle Sr. and Rebecca Ross.

Notes for James Kerr:
James was a farmer, and migrated with his wife and family to Knox County, Ohio, in 1818 where he bought a farm of 160 acres in Clay Township. His wife Betsy died on this farm, aged forty-two years; he subsequently sold this farm to his son Robert, and moved to Licking County, Ohio, where he resided with his son-in-law, Aquilla Barber, until his death, at the age of eighty-seven years

James second marriage to Elizabeth Forsythe is unproven.

Cumberland Co., PA later became known as present day Franklin Co., PA
