King of England. Crowned April 1016. He was considered a wayward son, since he married in defiance of his father, and established his own rule in Northumbria and Mercia in 1015. Legend has it that he was killed in single combat with Cnut "the great" the Viking war lord who invaded England in 1016. After his death, his sons fled to Hungary.
