I have been doing family research for about 8 years now and at the beginning I was an absolute fanatic but I suppose most of you have experienced that sort of obsession. It was that initial fanaticism that lead me to rearch every name that touched our families so for my sins here are some of those names.....McINTYRE, McTIMNEY, WALKER, DOVE, TAYLOR, GIRDLESTONE, JARVIS, WONNACOTT, DAVEY, CLARK, COWANS. My research is not exclusive to the UK as many of these people "took off" to other countries. My database now has approximately 1,400 names in it - all related. I invite contact from other genealogists and have indeed made contact with a cousin in Delaware and his niece through the internet and we have become firm friends. So why don't you pull up a chair and sit a spell.My other interests include crafts such as stencilling, restoring old furniture, glass painting and cottage gardening.. Recently I have been introduced to Cloth Doll making via the internet by a very dear person, Pris Leuliette from West Virginia. This has become my greatest passion and I spend as much time as possible learning this new craft. Well new to me, that is. If you share similar interests then please do not hesitate to contact me. |
