War of 1812 Memorial Park
These are the original cannon that fired on British ships during the bombardment of Lewes on April 6, 1813, during the War of 1812. The Benjamin McIlvain House was struck by cannonballs fired by British vessels and was located where the U.S. Post Office stands today.
