Mrs. Jackson was one of the best known and most popular women in Alexander City, having resided here the greater part of her life as she came to this city as a child with her parents, who moved to this place from near LaFayette, where she was born.

She joined the Baptist church when she was a child of fifteen years, and remained a faithful and loyal member of the churh until her death and it was fitting that the funeral services should be held in the church she loved so well. The funeral services were held in the Alexander City Baptist church Saturday morning and were conducted by Rev. A. S. Smith, pastor of the church, who was assisted by Rev. P. L. Abernethy, pastor of the Methodist church, and Rev. D. F. McConnell, pastor of the Presbyterian church.

Mrs. Jackson was 55 years of age and is survived by her husband, C. J. Jackson, One son, W. C> Jackson of Charlotte, N.C., and two daughters, Mrs. J. W. Wilbanks and Miss Rebecca Jackson, of this city; also her mother Mrs. T. W. Christian, her brother T. S. Christian, Jr., and two sisters, Mrs. S. P. Sealy and Mrs. T. C. Russell, all of this city. These with other relatives and many friends are left to mourn her death.

The body was interred in the city cemetery. A large concorse of friends attended the funeral.
