My great great grandfather was Robert Stafford. He was a US Deputy Marshal who knew Jesse James and in fact attended his funeral....saying "that wasnt Jesse". After he retired from Marshalling, he then changed his name to Robert Stafford. I have narrowed his true identity to one of the following deputies: Bill Quillen, Joe Ventioner, Bill Holcomb, TL Shannan, JT Duckworth, or LN Williams. This page is the result of the continuing search of great great grampa.
