| McKinnon of Skye Glen, Nova Scotia and Maine; Others in New England: Jenkins, Hebb, Green, Hewey, Wakefield, Rollins, Prouty, King, Rumrill, Whitmore, Given, Lorentzen, Jansen, Thomsen. Also searching for the ancestors of Catherine Moody who married Samuel Jackson in Durham, Maine on Sept 22, 1794. Her son's death certificate shows her maiden name as Thompson. Don't know which is correct. Samuel and Catherine are buried together in New Portland, Maine. Samuel (1767-1830) Catherine (1774-1861). Also searching for ancestors of Mary Downing born about 1748 in New Hampshire. Married in the Rochester, NH area about 1770 Valentine Rollins (1739-aft 1810). They were in Belgrade, Maine for the 1810 Census. Also ancestors of Anna who married about 1791 James Hewey. They resided in the Brunswick/Lisbon, Maine area. He dies before 1817, Deed has heirs selling some of his land. She's still alive (more deeds) in 1822, then no record. She may be a daughter of David Reed and Diantha Rogers, need proof. |
