George and Ellen McKnight - Papa George / Mama Ellen

Our earliest verifiable history starts in the mid to late 1800's in rural northwest Louisiana (in or near Caddo Parish). For sure, Papa George and Mama Ellen spent most of their lives in the town of Keithville, Louisiana, a small town south of Shreveport. Their offspring settled in and around Shreveport, as well as in Dallas, Texas - Chicago, Illinois - Gary, Indiana - and various cities in Southern and Northern California, during most of the 20th century. Today, we are located in much of the same areas, as well as (sprinkled) throughout various parts of the eastern and central United States. The McKnight clan has or does now consist of virtually every plausible occupation, with the exception of National politics.
