I am researching the McKinley family. The oldest known ancestor is Michael Green McKinley (ca. 1765-1814) and Sarah Fouts who settled in Nelson County, Kentucky in the early 1790's. Some of their children migrated later, to Miami County, Ohio, Clay County, Indiana, and Putnam County, Misouri. Most of the others remained in central Kentucky.
Other related families are: Beard, Combest, Chelf, Tucker, Kean, Ballew and Grider.
