| I am researching the Heard family history. The earliest record I have is of John Heard who married Harrietta Victoria Pope, date unknown. When John married Harrietta, they moved from Sledge, Mississippi to Sikeston, Missouri, (date Unknown). John Heard was born and raised in the area of Yazoo City, Mississippi. From this reunion seven children were born as follows: Isola (sister), James Milton (Buddy), Ella, Gola Ann, Willie (Sonny), Ethel Lena, and John Henry (Little Bud).
