Sorry about all the ---. Couldn't get the spacing to work right otherwise. Actually, I still can't get it right. Nuts.
The states are listed from most recent to oldest. Dates are given in some cases. Also, spellings could vary, such as Phillips/Philips, Starkes/Starke/Stark.
Notice I have more on Terri's side. Her mother and an aunt did research to join the DAR about 30+ years ago.
I am trying to concentrate on the McKinney's and the Phillips (Philips) lines at this time. Although I have not updated the tree on this site yet, I have recently been able to find proof of my g-g-grandfather McKinney, his wife and both their parents! So from only knowing my g-grandfather's name and probable birthplace to jumping back to TN in 1805! That would be Alexander McKinney who appears in the 1850 AL census (which I found in the Genealogy Library on FTM) and lists his age as 45, b. TN.
I have also recently found a Phillips "cousin" connected in IN in about 1840.
Haven't done much the last 6 months or so, now I'm fired up again!
