Have extensive research and involved in two reunions, 1986 and 1998 and discovering new cousins. Will exchange information, would like to continue to build large family tree. Have extensive lateral family research enjoy the discovery and history involved with Genealogy. Plans are to compile McKee History, keep in touch-maybe future reunion.Members of William McKee/Mary Finlay and John McKee/Mary Ann Finlay families, Samuel McKee/Margaret Roseborough examples of current descendants in contact with. Current research assistance with at least two critical blanks.... What ship did Robert,Ann, Samuel, Beaven, William, John, George (maybe others) come over on ca 1830? Robert (Robert F the immigrants grandson, Williams son-) wife writes- "I was nineteen when Robert McKee asked me to marry him (and I did). Ours was a love affair not over money or good looks. He owned a farm and a log shanty. That is where I went to housekeeping and cooked for the men that built our first house. It was finished and we moved in in time to receive our first baby boy (William Henry b ca 1865) Our stay there was short, Soon we moved to Western Canada for a stay of three years and our next two babys came to us there" (Joeseph and Mary)
The delema here is, I beleive them to be in Smith Peterborough for the first born, 1865. This stay of three years in Western Canada where Joseph and Mary were born is not known. One letter mentions Exiter, or London Ontario?
