About my LOGAN family.I know the family name was changed from Legg to Logan when *Thomas Rollin Legg came to America from Scotland sometime after 1800. His wife was *Nancy Brown. They settled in North Liberty, Butler County, Pennsylvania. Today that is Washington Township. They had 4 beautiful children. *William Manuel Logan whom I am descended from was born in North Liberty on January 1, 1833. His siblings were John, Nancy and another male child name is unknown.I would like to find information on them as well. William married *Synthia Burke on March 27, 1851 in Leesburg, Mercer County, Pennsylvania. Today that is Springfield. They had 11 children. Their children were Thomas Jefferson Logan(1852), Mary Jane Logan (1854), Walter Robert Logan(1857), Emaline Cordelia Logan(1860), *Elmer Elsmore Ellsworth Logan(1862), Margaret Mariline Logan(1865), William Edward Logan(1868), Newton Ewing Logan(1870), Clarry Eva Logan(1873), Norman Rollin Logan(1876), and Bertha Laverna Logan(1878). In 1889 many of the Logan family left Pennsylvania. They settled in Ohio. In 1890 they settled in Geauga County, Ohio. Then in 1900 they settled for good in Lake County where many of their descendants remain today.

About my PROCTOR family.
Not much is known on my Proctor family. The first name I have is *Edward More Proctor. He was born in Maine between 1830-1840. His wife was *Hattie May Black. They had 2 children that I know. *Herbert Eugene Proctor and Addie May Proctor. * Herbert was born on December 5, 1866 in Halloway, Swift County, Minnesota. He was married twice his first wife is unknown. From his first marriage he had Edward(1894),William(unknown),and Arthur. Arthur was adopted out to the Converse family who moved to California(last known). His second wife was *Margaret Ann Jones she was born in Wales in either 1877 or 1881. She came to America when she was 4. She married Herbert around 1905. Their children were Mildred(1913), Leonard(1906), Richard(1910), Raymond(1908), and *Addie (1904). *Addie was adopted by Margaret she was from Herbert's first marriage. Herbert moved to Painesville, Lake County, Ohio around 1888-1890 and lived there the rest of his life. He died on January 14, 1926 from an accident at his work. He was an Engineer for the Painesville Water Works Department. He went to change a chlorine tank that registered empty and it was full and all the chlorine gas went into his lungs. The chlorine gas and his asthma killed him. He died 3 weeks later. After his death the family moved to to Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan where many remained until their deaths although most settled in the suburbs. Leonard and Raymond Proctor left and moved to Texas.

* Denotes whom I am descended from.
