This site is dedicated to the descendants of Jacob McKee. I am hoping to meet and exchange information with other family members. Please email me with information or questions.

Jacob McKee was born April 25, 1781 in South Carolina. He was married to Nancy Peacock in 1805 in Oglethorpe County Georgia. Jacob lived in Madison, Henry, DeKalb and Carroll counties Georgia and Randolph County Alabama. I believe he died and is buried in Randolph County Alabama about 1864, however, I have not been able to find any death record or grave at this time. Jacob had two brothers that I have confirmed; Samuel McKee who was married to Elizabeth Manship in Oglethorpe County Georgia. I believe Samuel died in Clarke County Georgia about 1808. His wife and children lived with Jacob in Madison County Georgia. John McKee, the other brother, was married to Eliza Mercer Askew in Putnam County Georgia in 1822 and died in Henry County Georgia about 1828.

I have found an old family record which states this McKee line is descended from the Pennsylvania McKee family which came over from Ireland in the 1730s, however, this has not been documented at this time. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I hope you find this site rewarding and informative.

***2005 UPDATE*** Much of the information I have on this website is outdated. If you are related to this family I would like to share current information with you which I would be happy to provide if you contact me directly.
