The Picklesimer's of Eastern Kentucky
Abraham Adam Picklesimer settled in Kentucky in the early 1800's, I am a direct descendant. Most of my reseach has his birth place as Virgina. But I have come across some information that he may have been born in Maryland. His birth place is not conclusive at this time. He lived in Ohio for sometime and then settling in Kentucky with his wife Elizabeth "Betsy" Prater and their children. Also researching the name Beckelhymer. I have found information that suggests a John Beckelhymer Sr as Abraham Adam's father and Johan George Beckelhymer as his Grandfather(also known as Elder John Beckelhymer and Elder John Beckelshammer also found as Beckelsheimer,Bechtelshiemer, there are even more variations).
Please note: As with Abraham Adam's birthplace, John Beckelhymer and Johan George Beckelhymer have not been conclusively proven to be Abraham Adam's father and grandfather. But the two Beckelhymers are definetly father and son.
