White, Perigrine Family Home Page

Updated September 6, 2000

I am searching for ancestors before Daniel White. I have reason to believe that I am related to Perigrine White. He was the first child born after arriving in America on the Mayflower. Any other relatives or information on relatives in the Upstate NY area would be most appreciated. One of my great-grandfathers, Daniel White was a circuit riding, Methodist minister standing well over 6' tall. He rode a mule on his travels and often when traveling across rivers and streams he had to fold his long legs up and over the saddle to keep from getting his feet wet. There is a statue I have been told that is in Plessius, NY in his honor. I believe also that his house was part of the under ground railway system. Thank-you for your help. Always, Phyllis
