This is the page dedicated to the McKay family of Scotland. The earliest ancestor I have definitely identified is Roderick McKay, married to Mary. One of their male children, Alexander (dob ca.1869), immigrated to British Columbia from Portree, in the county of Skye (now Inverness-shire), where he married Jennie Bowyer (dob ca. 1878) in Vancouver on 27.12.1897.
I have only been doing this research since 18.8.2001, so I still have a lot of ground to cover. Anyone with information that may be helpful is invited to contact me (e-Mail is the surest way) as well as anyone who feels I may be able to help them.
