My Genealogy Home Page

I have spent the last two years sporadically researching both my side of the family and my husbands. I have found dead ends in many instances but I have also had surprising results in some of the research I thought would go nowhere. I have been researching the Leamy, Nicolls, Livernois, McKanna and Crowley families. While the Leamy research was my first I have hit dead ends in Canada with my great-grandfather and need help with research in the Ottawa/Hull areas.

To my surprise the name "Viletta" which I believed to have originated on my grandmothers side, actually is from my grandfathers and it led me to many lines of the family of which I was unaware.

As I was an only child, my mother an only child and my grandmother was the only child after her brother died at age 3 I hope to keep the family history alive for my children. I am sorry now that I didn't take notes about the family when my grandmother would talk about "Aunt Lizzie" or "Uncle Charlie"!

I would greatly appreciate any help that anyone can give me.
