| The McKinney Family Resident in Belfast during the 19th and 20th centuries, the family is descended from the Scottish Clan MacKinnon, and is not related (as far as I know) to the Irish clans of McKinney or McKenna. The family, as descended from Edward "Ned" McKinney (d. c. 194?), is extensive and has branches in Australia, Canada, and Singapore. The McQuitty Family Also resident in Belfast during the 19th and 20th centuries, the family, as descended from Thomas McQuitty (d. 1912) now has only one branch known to exist. The Arthur Family The Arthur (originally MacArthur) family came to Northern Ireland from Glasgow in the late 19th/early 20th century. As descended from Edmondson Arthur (1874-194?) the family has, mostly, remained in Northern Ireland, but does have at least one branch in Vancouver, BC, Canada. |
