| I am researching the McLafferty family, formerly McLaverty, from a townland called Mucklerammer which is situated between Ballymena and Randlastown in Northern Ireland. My grandfather John McLaverty moved to Duntocher in Clydebank during the Irish potato famine in the early 20th century. There are now offshoots of the family in various parts of the world, notably Belgium where my uncle Joe settled after WW2, and Canada where I know I have two cousins, Brian and Marlene. |
