    These are my great-great grandparents who were both born in 1875 in Marion County, Illinois. Mora was born in Salem and J.C. was born in Raccoon Township in the southern part of the county.
  • James Morton and Mary Parkinson (91 KB)
    James and Mary were born in Chester County, SC with many of the other pioneering families of the Scotch Covenanter religion. They made their way to Lincoln County, Tennessee with their parents, and married within the church in the 1820s. In the mid 1840s, they moved on to Marion County, Illinois and had my Great-great-great grandmother Tirzah Elvira Morton.

    Martha Virginia Rogers, my great great great grandmother who is pictured at age 16 and was born in Tennessee. She married in Tennessee and then lived the remainder of her life in Marion County, Illinois.

    This is my great, great grandfather George Brady. He was born in Ireland in the early 1860s and came to America in 1885. He married my great great grandmother Catherine Cummins and settled in Cleveland, Ohio...where he lived the rest of his life.
