Information provided by Dick York on genforum posting indicates that Lewis H. York had four wives and as many as 19 children between allwives.Another source on the internet only had information regarding one wife- Hannah and the information for the children of Hannah and Lewis include some of the children which were previously reported to have been from Abigail Knox.Specifically in question are the children Charles b. 03/09/1827, Benjamin B. b. 10/12/1829, and William H. b. 11/13/1831.There appear to be no children of the first marriage to Asenath Cobb.
Additionally, Dick York reports several additional children of Lewis H. & Mary Foy... specificaly, Lorenzo, Josiah, Charles W., and Augusta a fraternal twin of Agustus.The prior information I had on this family did not include these children.
All combined, from various sources I have have info on the following children, all of Lewis H.As you will see it appears some of the information is not correct. The items marked with ? are from sources other than my direct family history and are yet to be verified.

All information has not yet been confirmed, and some of the children are questionable at this point because the names seem to repeat.
1850 Census of Brighton, Somerset County, Maine- shows Lewis married to Mary, with two sons, Josiah, 6 years old and Lorenzo, 10 of 12 months old.Lewis is listed as 52 years old and his wife, Mary is listed as 33 years old.His occupation is listed as a Laborer.The place of birth of all family members is listed as Maine.
