Alexander MCLARTY was born about 1730 in Southend Parish of the Kintyre Peninsula of Argyll County, Scotland. He migrated to the colonies in 1773 and was in North Carolina by the end of 1775. He died in 1799 in either Cabarrus or Mecklenburg County, NC. Am interested in all descendants/related lines. Am also interested in all MCLARTY families. I am researching the following Mecklenburg/Cabarrus County surnames: BLACK, GARMON, MCBRIDE, MONTGOMERY, MORGAN, NEELY, PICKENS, WALLACE, WHITE.
