I am researching the McLachlan or McLauchlan family name. The branch I am descended from came to McNab Township in Ontario Canada in 1834 with other Scots from Scotland as a result of the clearances. I am also interested in the Gill family from Fredricton New Brunswick James Austin Gill left Fredricton in about 1881 to move to Victoria B.C.
On my wife's side I am interested in Spady from Norka in Russia. They immigrated to Canada in 1911 settling in Alberta. Also Burton from New Richmond in the Gaspe in Quebec. Descendants of Richard Burton.
Other family names I am interested in include Shaw from Nova Scotia.
Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
