McLuckie and Baer

It is my understanding that ALL McLuckie's came from one family. My goal is to eventually link all known McLuckie's together. 'The McLuckie's were within 2 clans,The McDougals and The Lamonts. At that time they were in the Argyll area. Prior to 1745, bothclans were Jacobite sympathisers. Hence, with the failue of Bonnie Prince Charlie's Uprising against the English, many of both clan members, to save persecution, either fled to the new lands (Australia, New Zeland, America, and South Africa), or changed their names to White, Brown, Black, etc. I doubt that I will ever find all the McLuckie's, but I will certainly track all known links!I have fiound that UNIONS and POLITICS are big amongst McLuckie's. More on that later, though!
