I am researching the McLamore family from Winn Parish. LA. William McLamore married Rebel Lee Hargis in 1883. Williams father was Richard Seth McLamore who married to Mary Davison in 1851. Richard was form Virginia. I have not been able to find any information on Richard McLemore in Virginia.

My Grand Father, Carl Thomas McLemore changed the spelling of his last name from McLamore (ca. 1930) to McLemore, reason unknown.

Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
