* The Simeon McLeod Family of Georgia and N. Florida*

Updated April 18, 2006

Simeon MCLEOD was born 1812 in Bryan County, Georgia. In 1824 he moved with his mother Emily, sister Mary and brothers John, James, and William to Lowndes County, Georgia (now Brooks County, Georgia). He lived there until 1840's when he moved to Madison County, Florida. He remained there until 1860 when he returned to Quitman, Georgia where he died in 1861.
I am also searching the Lovetts in this area. Lucinda Gordon Lovett, Daughter of David and Leah Lovett, married Simeon in 1832
